Castle Destroyer [0.1-a]
So, after 5 years, I returned to this project. I described how it all started in the previous devlog.
Here I already focused on the choice of the game engine and came to Unity, which I had not used before. The choice of engine was predictable, due to the fact that during these 5 years the main programming language with which I worked was C#.
For starters, I just wanted to port the game to another engine, redraw the sprites and adapt to new devices. And so I started working on an already updated game.
In this version, I worked out a banal game menu and implemented approximately the same movement mechanics as in the old game. Architecture began to take shape and everything went smoothly.
At the expense of sprites at the current stage, I did not bother, so I used a simple fill as sprites for the main objects, and the background was downloaded from Google images on request brick wall :D
