Background and prototype

The development of this project began in September 2016. Then I actively studied programming and simultaneously applied the acquired knowledge to develop various game prototypes and self-written physical engines. It was at this time that the concept came to my mind, which became the main feature of the future game, which I could not bring to an acceptable result.

The game was called Castle Destroyer, the goal of the game is to destroy the opponent’s tower. We play as one of the two sides and send troops to fight the enemy army and try to destroy the enemy tower, it’s simple. But there is one feature, when two units of opposite sides collide, only one always remains alive - which of them is calculated by the system with a 50% chance of both. To send a warrior, we must click on the screen, one warrior costs 10 units of currency, the currency accumulates automatically over time.

Work on this game lasted about six months, CocoonJs was used as an engine, and it was developed for mobile platforms. In total, about 20 updates were released.

Initially, I planned to make the game turn-based, but soon I could not work out the controls and abandoned this implementation.

Soon I began to work out the mechanism for moving units, finalizing graphics and animations, as well as implementing a level system and a multiplayer mode.
